This plate came from my sister.
It’s a traditional Troyan pottery piece, handmade one by one by Bulgarian artisans.
Using locally sourced clay, the potter shapes and fires each piece by hand, after which a painter decorates it on a spinning wheel—dripping glaze from a spout to create the floral patterns that bloom outward in Troyan’s distinctive style.
