A practice repair on a lens-shaped piece of glass—not sure what it was originally used for.
As with other colorless transparent glass, I worked only with white urushi, carefully filling the loss while repeatedly masking the surrounding surface to protect it from even the slightest scratch.
When carving back the sabi urushi, I focused on achieving a sharp, precise edge—steady hands and slow movements all the way.
